Many picturesque, hand-hewn log barns are still in use today throughout Renfrew County. Others have been abandoned for years. Some have been torn down and replaced with new wooden or steel structures and some have been recyled into rustic looking new homes for modern day Valley Settlers. Log buildings and photos of log cabins have a charm and warmth all their own. These lovely old buildings are indeed, a treasured heritage.
